PORT80 Internet Services LLP builds practical software for Indian small businesses — from Alappuzha, Kerala.
Our story starts in a rental shop
SafeRent was built by a passionate engineer — the son of a power tool rental shop owner — who watched his father lose machines, and money, to customers who had already done the same thing to other shops nearby. After a master’s in computer science, he decided to solve it properly.
It launched in November 2023 with three shops: his own, his father’s, and a couple nearby. Word travelled the way it does in a trade where everyone knows everyone. Today more than 550 rental shops across Kerala and Tamil Nadu use it, and each one that reports a bad customer protects all the others.
PORT80 Internet Services LLP was incorporated in 2024 to carry that work forward. In 2026 we shipped Afloat, built on the same conviction: that a car wash or a gym deserves software as considered as anything sold to an enterprise.

- 2023
SafeRent launches with three shops
Built to solve one family’s problem — tools walking out of a power tool rental shop and never coming back. It launched with three shops: the creator’s own, his father’s, and a couple nearby.
- 2024
PORT80 Internet Services LLP incorporated
With SafeRent spreading shop to shop across Kerala, the work became a company — and a commitment to keep building software for businesses that software usually ignores.
- 2025
SafeRent crosses 550 shops and two states
The fraud network grew past 550 rental shops across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Every shop that reports a bad customer protects every other shop in the district — the product gets stronger the more people use it.
- 2026
Afloat launches for car washes and gyms
A second product, built on the same idea: one platform for operations, customers, staff and GST-ready billing, made to keep up with a busy front desk rather than slow it down.

New technology is worth using when it removes a real cost from a real business. Photo recognition in SafeRent exists because tools were being stolen, not because it demos well.
